What do we do?

At Educreatures Zoo, based in the vibrant country town of Bacchus Marsh near the scenic Lerderderg State Park, we deliver exciting, hands on wildlife education experiences featuring some of Australia’s most iconic native animals.

We provide engaging and interactive demonstrations for schools, kindergartens, birthday parties, community events, markets, and aged care centres. Whether it’s inspiring the next generation or sparking memories for older audiences, our goal is to connect people with Australia’s unique wildlife in a safe, respectful, and unforgettable way.

We are NOT open to the general public… yet.

Our mission

Our mission is to inspire curiosity, raise awareness, and promote conservation efforts through engaging educational wildlife demonstrations. We are dedicated to providing immersive, hands on experiences that allow individuals of all ages to connect with Australia’s unique wildlife.

About The Director

Hi, I’m Jackson Volpato—wildlife educator, conservationist, and the proud founder of Educreatures.

My passion for animals started early. Growing up, I was always fascinated by wildlife, especially the species that most people didn’t get to see up close. While other kids were playing video games, I was reading about reptiles, exploring bushland for snakes and lizards, or sketching animals from nature books.

I got my first real taste of working with wildlife as a teenager, volunteering at private wildlife parks and spending time with a wide range of native species.

Over my career, I’ve had the chance to work with an extensive variety of Australian animals from the iconic kangaroos and koalas to the less familiar (but equally important) species like brush tailed bettongs, mountain pygmy possums and the tiger quoll. Big or small, every animal has a role to play in our ecosystems, and every one of them deserves our respect and protection.

In 2024, I founded Educreatures, a mobile wildlife education initiative designed to connect people with Australia’s native animals through up close, interactive experiences. For me, education is one of the most powerful tools in conservation.

Running Educreatures has allowed me to combine years of hands on animal care experience with a genuine love for teaching. I’ve worked with schools, community groups, and private events, always with the same goal: to leave people with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the wild world around them.

My work brings me a real sense of happiness and purpose, if I can spark a bit of curiosity and put a smile on someone’s face while showing them wildlife in a new way, it reminds me why I love what I do and that we can make a difference.
